Keepsafe

Keepsafe is a consumer privacy company that provides an encrypted space for the photos, videos and documents people keep on their phones. Its flagship product, Keepsafe Photo Vault, protects content with a PIN, biometric access and encryption, and adds private backup and controlled sharing. More than 75 million people have used the app. The company states that user content is encrypted both on device and in backups, and that its staff cannot view stored material.

Founded in San Francisco in 2012 by Zouhair Belkoura and Philipp, Keepsafe works across mobile security, encryption, biometric authentication, secure cloud backup and controlled content sharing. Its product philosophy is deliberately simple: privacy tools should stay out of users' way while helping them set boundaries, share selectively and retain control of their personal space.
