India Nippon Electricals Limited (INEL) is an automotive component manufacturer based in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Incorporated in 1984, it specialises in electronic ignition systems for two-wheelers, three-wheelers and portable engines, and supplies leading vehicle OEMs across those segments. The company produces over 11 million units a year across its product lines and ships to more than 12 countries in Asia, Europe and North America.

INEL's product range covers automotive electronics and powertrain systems: electronic ignition systems, engine control units, and a set of electric vehicle products comprising EV controllers, EV converters and sensors. Beyond ignition systems, the EV portfolio marks the company's move into electric mobility and its stated focus on future-ready technologies and sustainable mobility.

The company employs more than 2,000 professionals and operates three manufacturing facilities - in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Haryana - alongside a modern tech centre. It is a joint venture between Lucas Indian Service Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lucas-TVS Limited, and Nippon. Engineering and production work spans domains including electronic ignition systems, engine control units, sensors, internal combustion engine systems and automotive electronics.
