The system uses natural language processing and large language models, ambient speech-to-text and AI agents to handle paperwork so that clinicians can focus on patients.

The product has reached considerable scale. According to the company, Heidi returned more than 18 million hours to clinicians in 18 months and now supports over two million patient visits each week. It operates in 116 countries and supports more than 110 languages. The company has raised nearly $100 million in funding.
