Field Materials builds AI software for construction procurement, accounts payable automation and inventory management. Its stated mission is to digitize and democratize construction material purchasing. The platform automates purchasing workflows and uses AI agents and document data extraction to remove manual data entry for vendor documents; an AP automation module, inventory management capabilities and workflow automation for prefab operations extend the core product. The software integrates with the major construction ERPs, including Procore, Foundation, Sage, QuickBooks, Deltek and Viewpoint. Field Materials serves 16 construction trades and has customers in 36 U.S. states.

The company was founded by serial entrepreneurs with prior exits to Fortune 500 companies, including PayPal, and is backed by prominent Silicon Valley venture capital funds.
