Diligent Robotics

Diligent Robotics builds socially intelligent robots, led by Moxi, that handle hospital logistics and supply delivery so clinical staff can focus on patient care.

Diligent Robotics, founded in 2017, builds socially intelligent robots that work alongside human clinical teams in healthcare settings. Its flagship product, Moxi, navigates hospital corridors, retrieves and delivers supplies such as medications and lab samples, and interacts with patients through friendly gestures. The robot is designed to take on routine logistical tasks so that clinical staff can devote more time to patient care. In 2024, Moxi saved more than 284,000 hours for clinical staff, according to the company.

The company's technical work spans social robotics, mobile manipulation, autonomous navigation and human-robot collaboration. Moxi is deployed in health systems across the United States. The company's stated approach is to augment rather than replace human workers, treating robots as trusted teammates within clinical environments rather than as disruptive technology.

The founders developed the company's approach through hands-on clinical observation, shadowing staff in hospital environments before designing for them. Both founders trained at MIT and Georgia Tech. Diligent Robotics works at the intersection of healthcare, hospitals and clinical logistics, and its stated goal is returning clinical staff time to direct patient care.
