Dandelion Health
Dandelion Health provides de-identified multimodal clinical data from over 10m patients and independent validation services for developers of clinical AI.
Dandelion Health, founded in 2020 and based in the United States, supplies AI developers, life sciences companies and healthcare organisations with multimodal, de-identified real-world clinical data and validation services. Its purpose is to help build and evaluate clinical AI products that are both effective and responsible. The company was founded by practitioners from health technology, hospital systems, academia and clinical AI.
Its principal asset is the Digital Biobank Platform, which aggregates de-identified clinical data from multiple U.S. health systems across six modalities: structured electronic medical records, unstructured clinical notes, medical images, waveforms, video and continuous streaming monitoring data. The platform covers more than 10m patients, with records dating back to 2016. A Clinical AI Marketplace connects developers of algorithms with life sciences firms seeking to accelerate drug development and clinical research.
Dandelion Health also operates the American Heart Association AI Assessment Lab, which conducts independent, scientifically rigorous evaluations of cardiology and other clinical AI algorithms against real-world performance data. Work spans machine learning, natural language processing over clinical text, medical imaging, data de-identification and algorithm validation, with an emphasis on high-quality, representative patient data and rigorous evaluation standards.
