Cordia
Cordia designs, finances, builds, owns and operates on-site and district energy infrastructure for institutional and commercial customers under an Energy-as-a-Service model.
Cordia is an Energy-as-a-Service provider that designs, finances, builds, owns and operates on-site and district energy infrastructure for institutional and commercial customers. Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, the company's model removes the need for upfront capital investment from its clients: Cordia funds and runs the assets, and customers pay for the energy services delivered. Its systems combine thermal and power generation, combined heat and power (CHP), microgrids, solar, battery storage and thermal storage.
The company reports a 99.999% system reliability rate across its installed base and more than 50 years of combined operational experience among its teams. Cordia operates in seven major metropolitan areas in the United States, with presence in Phoenix, San Francisco, San Diego, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Omaha and Tucson.
Its customers are concentrated in sectors where continuous energy supply is critical: hospitals, universities, government buildings, data centres, stadiums, airports, hospitality and commercial real estate developments. The engineering work is oriented around decarbonisation, resilience and efficiency, using scalable and proven technologies. Cordia's stated purpose is to let its customers concentrate on their core missions rather than on energy infrastructure.
