Boys Town

Boys Town National Research Hospital is a nonprofit pediatric hospital and research center specializing in hearing, language, neuroscience and behavioral health, providing clinical care and translational research for children nationwide.

Boys Town National Research Hospital is a pediatric healthcare and research hospital and the clinical and research backbone of Boys Town, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation founded in 1977 whose stated mission is to save children and heal families through evidence-based medical care. The hospital provides comprehensive medical services to children across the United States, with a particular focus on childhood deafness and communication disorders.

Its clinical work is matched by a research programme spanning roughly 40 years of translational research in audiology, hearing science, language and communication disorders, neuroscience, neurobehavioral research, behavioral health and rare diseases. Studies are designed to feed directly into patient care, and the organisation is described as an international leader in its fields.

Boys Town is building a state-of-the-art integrated research and clinical facility in which researchers and clinicians work side by side, an expansion project slated for completion in 2027. Work is organised around multidisciplinary teams, and the organisation serves a nationwide patient base while maintaining an international profile in hearing, language and behavioral health research.
