Bjak

Bjak is an insurtech company founded in 2019 and headquartered in Malaysia. It operates an online platform on which users compare and purchase car, motorcycle, travel, life and medical insurance, a process the company says takes minutes rather than hours or days and is completed digitally, without paperwork, on any device. Bjak describes its ambition as building Southeast Asia's largest online insurance platform and states that it serves more than 6m users across the region.

The company's engineering work spans automation, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure. Its insurance aggregation system draws real-time prices from insurers through custom API integrations and adds AI-powered product suggestions. Broader work covers end-to-end process automation, including document processing and digital policy issuance, applied to the full insurance journey.

Bjak operates in Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and Taiwan, with expansion into other Southeast Asian markets. Its stated operating principles are technology-first, with an emphasis on productivity, simplicity and speed, and a fully digital, paperless customer and working experience. Headcount has not been disclosed.
