BeeX

BeeX is a Singapore deeptech firm building compact autonomous underwater vehicles and offering them as a service to inspect critical subsea infrastructure for maritime, energy and defense clients.

BeeX is a deeptech company that builds compact, intelligent autonomous underwater vehicles for inspecting and safeguarding critical underwater infrastructure. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Singapore, the company was spun out of the National University of Singapore, drawing on more than a decade of research by its founders into Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (HAUVs) carried out as NUS researchers. It operates across Europe and Asia.

The company's core product is its Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, described as the world's most compact and intelligent underwater drones, designed to make subsea operations safer, faster and more efficient. BeeX delivers these capabilities through an Autonomous Robotics-as-a-Service (ARaaS) model, providing autonomous subsea robotics to clients in maritime, energy and defense. The company reports that its vehicles cut carbon emissions by more than 90% compared with traditional underwater inspection methods.

BeeX characterises its work as translating academic research into practical solutions, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency and environmental sustainability in subsea operations. Its stated focus is on pushing the boundaries of autonomous subsea robotics and transforming underwater capabilities at scale.
