Alternative Heat Ltd. is a specialist in offsite prefabrication, designing, manufacturing and delivering turnkey prefabricated MEP (Mechanical & Electrical) solutions. Founded in 2005, the company applies Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) practices to building services engineering, with an emphasis on higher-quality delivery and reduced project programmes.

Its product range covers Packaged Plantrooms, Plant Skid Modules and MEP Lateral & Riser Modules. A dedicated Renewable Energy Solutions division provides bespoke systems for biomass, air source heat pump and ground source heat pump technologies.
