Take2 Consulting is seeking two motivated Jr. Data Science Analysts to join our growing team at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. These positions are ideal for early-career professionals with a solid academic foundation in data science, analytics, and programming who want to apply their skills to mission-critical federal projects. Analysts will work on diverse data problems spanning cybersecurity, cloud, and network environments, directly supporting Department of Defense planning and assessment initiatives.
What You’ll Do in this Role
- Conduct data analysis to support planning and assessment, including Measures of Effectiveness (MOE), Measures of Performance (MOP), and campaign impact evaluations.
- Translate complex datasets into dashboards, visualizations, and reports for planners, leadership, and assessment teams.
- Support projects analyzing cybersecurity, cloud, and network data to identify trends, anomalies, and engagement patterns.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, using both independent problem-solving and collaborative teamwork to deliver mission-relevant findings.
- Build statistical and machine learning models, apply natural language processing (NLP), and design automated solutions to complex challenges.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries across multiple databases; integrate APIs for data extraction.
- Apply web scraping and unstructured data processing techniques to expand analytical capabilities.
- Leverage automation, predictive modeling, and machine learning to forecast scenarios and provide actionable recommendations.
- Use modern technologies including AWS and Git to manage code, models, and workflows.
Basic Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance (must be able to upgrade to TS if required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant technical experience (internships may count).
- Proficiency in Python and SQL with relational databases.
- Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning and NLP (spaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, TensorFlow, etc.).
- Knowledge of statistical methods, probability, and predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with data architecture and computer science concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib, Seaborn).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and version control (Git/GitHub).
- Exposure to ETL pipelines, automation frameworks, or API-driven integrations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences.
