Kumho Tire USA is a leading tire distributor in the U.S. market, committed to delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer service. Our Logistics Department plays a vital role in ensuring that tires are delivered safely, accurately, and on time to our valued customers nationwide.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Specialist for the outbound area to strengthen our outbound team, managing warehouse-to-customer tire distribution and ensuring smooth daily transportation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily outbound logistics operations, including shipment planning, carrier scheduling, and load optimization.
- Oversee transportation of tires from warehouses to dealers, distributors, and retail partners across the U.S.
- Monitor carrier performance, delivery lead times, and service quality; escalate and resolve delivery issues proactively.
- Collaborate with 3PL partners, freight carriers, and internal teams (Sales, Warehouse, Customer Service) to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Track and analyze KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight cost efficiency, and service accuracy.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance distribution efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Train and mentor junior logistics staff, providing guidance on best practices in outbound logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in outbound logistics, transportation, or distribution management (preferably in automotive or tire industry).
- Strong knowledge of freight management, carrier negotiations, and 3PL coordination.
- Proficiency in TMS (Transportation Management Systems), WMS, and MS Excel; SAP or Oracle ERP experience a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
