JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The human resource generalist focused on performing duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: benefits, compensation, learning and development, performance management, worker’s compensation, and employee recognition.
This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs. This position will report directly to the Global Human Resources Manager.
Essential Functions

- Acts as an employee relations specialist - Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions
- Maintains employee personnel files
- Responsible for Onboarding and Offboarding employees
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9
- Talent Management – partners with leadership to drive employee performance, ensures performance metrics and communications occur on a consistent basis
- Updates, monitors and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases based on three- and six-month and one-year evaluations.
- Promote/implement HR programs to foster a Best Place to Work Culture
- Other duties as assigned to support the HR Team

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting and occasional crawling.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional heavier lifting.

Travel
Local travel to various worksites is required
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent years of experience. Experience in the administration of benefits and employee relations.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Human resource experience in this industry.
- 5 to 7 years generalist experience or benefits specialist experience
- PHR, SCP SHRM Certification
