Position Title: Director of Corporate Warehousing
Reports To: SVP, Operations
Location: Required to work onsite from the Royal Cup HQ facility in Birmingham, AL. This is not a remote work position.

Summary
The
Director of Corporate Warehousing reports to the SVP of Operations and provides strategic leadership for the company’s warehousing network. This role oversees nine regional warehouses and is responsible for driving operational excellence, improving processes, and optimizing inventory management to ensure superior customer service and cost efficiency.
The Director will lead the development and execution of initiatives that align warehouse operations with organizational goals. This includes standardizing and enhancing processes across the network, implementing strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels, and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Additionally, this leader will be accountable for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), managing financial performance, and continuously identifying opportunities for improvement across the warehousing function to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing warehouse team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train key personnel within the warehouse function.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse network, ensuring seamless execution and performance optimization.
- Conduct constructive and timely performance evaluations, providing coaching and development opportunities.
- Enforce company policies while managing employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to drive alignment, operational synergy, and strategic execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plans strategies to expand scope of services and warehouse leaders to respond to new opportunities
- Provides direction to warehouse management so as to ensure efficient and effective function and compliance
- Collaborates with demand planning and procurement to support service as well as managing storage capacity
- Mentors, counsels, and develops managers in driving safe, accurate and efficient operations through employee engagement and standard processes
- Oversees the fiscal and operational management of each warehouse in partnership with finance and local leadership
- Allocates appropriate resources in a responsible manner consistent with the approved operating and capital equipment budget or within approved variances
- Participates in the development of warehouse annual goals and objectives, and plans for new projects, services and programs with respect to cost, quality and safety
- Coach staff to maximize the effectiveness of the team
- Develops the leadership, operational and business skills of direct reports
- Translates the overall direction of the company into a flexible Area-specific strategy that will achieve plan
- Provides individual team members with aggressive and clear performance objectives directly tied to the organizational strategy
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (or another related field)
- 10 + years of experience supporting an internal logistics operation
- Inbound, inventory management, and outbound warehouse process experience.
- As an exempt position, evening and/or weekend hours may be required to ensure the fulfillment of all duties and responsibilities.
- Expert knowledge Microsoft suite and systems, especially excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers and employees at any level.
- The ability to travel up to 15% with overnight stays as business needs require.
- Ability to successfully complete the pre-employment process
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading logistics operations across multiple states
- Experience with managing and/or implementing a WMS system
- Project management experience preferred.
- Lean/ six sigma experience preferred.
- Experience with SAP.
Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Some physical requirements may include:
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, typing, reading, talking, and hearing
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
