Book of the Month is hiring for highly creative and commercially oriented people who enjoy ideating and producing creative ideas with the goal of driving business outcomes across our Growth and Retention teams. This early-career professional will work at the intersection of creative, strategy and performance marketing by using data to fuel concepts and messaging that drives enrolls and improves retention. This is an exciting opportunity at an entrepreneurial company for someone who loves connecting ideas with real impact and reading adult-fiction.
What You’ll Do...
- Generate a high volume of creative concepts and hooks designed to engage and convert prospective members.
- Analyze and understand the performance of various creative assets across paid, organic, and member-facing channels, and communicate that to the creative teamAct as a curator of culture, stay ahead of new ideas, broader trends, and industry shifts, and recommend strategic changes to acquisition efforts as needed.
- Stay on the cutting edge of social ad trends, meme formats, and viral content—turning insights into winning creative
- Serve as a project coordinator for various cross-functional projects, collaborating with other stakeholders effectively to complete goals
- Create presentations in Figma and Google Slides/Sheets to communicate new ideas
- Execute investigations and/or research on identified topics; compile and deliver findings in an organized and presentable manner
- Over time, contribute to and optimize various team processes with a focus on efficiency
About You…
- You have a strong history of academic and/or extracurricular excellence
- You are highly creative and love ideating, brainstorming, and pitching many original ideas.
- You have exceptional taste and a good sense for what types of content or aesthetic would work for Book of the Month.
- You can look at performance of a marketing asset, analyze it, and then propose ways to improve future performance through new creative ideas.
- You enjoy working with creatives to help unlock business goals and are excited by using data to optimize creative performance.
- You’re obsessed with social trends, memes, creator culture and books.
- Strong work ethic; ability to learn quickly, take on new challenges, and apply feedback.
- An interest in eCommerce, Direct to Consumer, or the book business.
- High attention to detail and accuracy even in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Grit and perseverance in the face of challenges, and an appetite for a wide variety of learnings and work experiences.
