Position Summary:
A leading LNG Operator is seeking a Vice President to oversee its enterprise-wide materials and inventory management function, reporting directly to the executive Supply Chain leadership. This individual will lead a cross-functional team responsible for managing spare parts and equipment inventory across all operational units. The role includes ownership of inventory strategies, systems governance, and performance optimization, with responsibility for internal and vendor-managed materials, capital spare assets, and key inventory KPIs.
This position will also lead the expansion and oversight of a dedicated internal support services entity, ensuring cost control and operational effectiveness across its scope of activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, maintenance, and execution of the company's materials management framework, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
- Provide strategic leadership to a team including material planners, data coordinators, warehouse managers, and inventory specialists.
- Oversee and expand the role of a designated internal operations support entity, including financial accountability.
- Monitor and improve inventory performance metrics such as stock levels, turnover, availability, obsolescence, and excess.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders—including Operations, Capital Projects, and Fleet Management—to implement effective spare parts and equipment planning strategies.
- Guide the team in establishing optimal inventory levels using data-driven analysis and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Support procurement by advising on alternative sourcing strategies to improve inventory reliability and reduce risk.
- Resolve materials-related issues including delays, discrepancies, and system challenges in coordination with procurement and logistics functions.
- Ensure material planning activities are integrated with production schedules and capacity constraints.
- Prepare inventory performance reports and contribute to financial forecasting related to materials and spares.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in supply chain operations, particularly in inventory and warehouse management.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, supply chain planning, and logistics operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex data clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP and procurement platforms such as SAP and Coupa is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to generate and interpret regular inventory and materials management reports.
- Must be available for daily on-site work and occasional travel to domestic locations.
