Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with a focus on Artificial Intelligence to join our Business Intelligence team. You will leverage Databricks’ machine learning capabilities, including MLflow and Databricks Runtime for Machine Learning, to build predictive models and integrate AI-driven insights into our BI dashboards. Collaborating with data engineers and BI analysts, you will drive advanced analytics to support our business objectives.
What you will doDesign, develop, and deploy machine learning models using Databricks’ MLflow and Spark ML to solve business problems, such as forecasting, customer segmentation, and predictive analyticsPerform exploratory data analysis in Databricks notebooks using Python, R, or SQL to uncover patterns and insights from the data lakehouse. Collaborate with BI analysts to integrate AI-driven insights into dashboards and reports, ensuring seamless delivery to stakeholders. Work with data engineers to optimize data pipelines for machine learning workloads, leveraging Delta Lake for efficient data access. Translate complex AI outputs into actionable business recommendations, working closely with stakeholders to align on requirements
Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field3+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on AI and machine learningHands-on experience with Databricks, including notebooks, MLflow, and Spark MLProven track record of building and deploying machine learning models in a production environmentProficiency in Python and/or R for data science workflowsStrong knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Experience with SQL for querying data in Databricks SQL AnalyticsFamiliarity with Delta Lake and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing. Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) hosting Databricks. Experience integrating AI models with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Databricks’ visualization toolsDatabricks Certified Data Scientist or Data Engineer certification is a plusExcellent communication skills to translate technical insights for non-technical stakeholdersStrong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
