Position Summary: In this role you will drive operational excellence and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that positively impact patient lives. As an experienced Project Manager, you will provide strategic guidance and drive the creation of program timelines, budgets, deliverables, and outcomes, ensuring meticulous oversight and efficiency.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Spearheads initiatives to improve and create project management tools and reporting systems, leading to successful IND’s, CTA’s and clinical study findings
- Develop and execute integrated project plans, ensuring timely deliverables and maintaining effective communication channels across the organization and with senior leadership team members, in alignment with the company’s strategic goals
- Lead meetings, manage stakeholder engagement, create and monitor timelines, manage scope, create mitigation plans, and document and communicate outcomes to enable harmonized execution of the project plan
- Manage and monitor project budgets and resource allocations
- Proactively identify and assess risks across programs, advising teams on optimal approaches and solutions for contingency planning
- Utilize and implement tools, templates and dashboards for comprehensive planning and tracking of programs, resulting in improved efficiency
- Establishes regular communications and routinely prepare and present project progress reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure project team preparation for functional update meetings
- Build trust through open communication, respect, transparency and willingness to learn while fostering a commitment to collaboration
Qualifications include:
- 10+ years of experience in the biotechnology industry is required, including a minimum of 5 years in a dedicated project management role supporting cell & gene therapy programs at the clinical/pre-clinical stage
- Proven understanding of the challenges encountered in the drug development lifecycle including the role and interdependencies that each key functional group plays (e.g. Research, Analytical Development, CMC, Clinical/Non-Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, etc.)
- Demonstrates a high sense of urgency, initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced biotech environment with shifting priorities
- Possesses effective time management skills and a high level of professionalism
- Ability to work independently as well as driving engagement as part of a team with extremely tight timelines
- Proven skills prioritizing work streams while influencing, aligning, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders appropriately
- Extremely effective written and verbal communication are required
- Must be able to laugh and contribute to a positive work culture
