Our Client, a Public Utilities company, is looking for a Project Manager Mid for their Oakbrook Terrace, IL/Hybrid location.
Responsibilities:
- A Project Manager Mid is responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to completion. They oversee all aspects of a project, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing. Responsibilities may include:
- Developing project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Leading project teams and coordinating activities to ensure that project goals are met.
- Monitoring project progress and identifying and addressing issues or risks.
- Communicating with stakeholders and senior management to provide updates on project status.
- Managing project budgets and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.
- Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders and external partners.
- Leading project meetings and facilitating discussions to drive project progress.
- Managing project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
- Supporting the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes.
- Project Managers Mid should have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. They should also be proficient in project management software and tools. PMP Required for all Project Management roles
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects within the utility/power industry, particularly in transmission high voltage projects
- Understanding of electrical transmission systems, high voltage design, and industry standards
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage contractors, and ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget
- Adherence to project controls to ensure alignment with project objectives and business targets
- Maintaining project schedules to ensure timely completion of project deliverables
- Managing financial controls, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and financial accountability
- Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Ability to engage and manage relationships with stakeholders
