Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Supply Chain Manager to lead our Supply Chain Management team. This role will be critical in overseeing all aspects of supply chain operations, including logistics, import coordination, demand planning, and inventory management, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across multiple functions in collaboration with teams in both the U.S. and Korea. You will also bring strong leadership skills to foster team growth, process innovation, and lead the continuous improvement of the supply chain network.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and manage the Supply Chain team, ensuring a high-performing, collaborative, and results-driven culture.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a growth mindset and providing opportunities for skill development.
- Empower team members to take ownership of their responsibilities and lead projects for continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews, set clear goals, and ensure alignment with the broader business objectives.
Supply Chain Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and manage all supply chain functions, including logistics, demand planning, inventory management, and import coordination.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain operations and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in both the U.S. and Korea to align on business goals and drive operational efficiency.
Logistics & Import Management:
- Oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth importation and timely clearance of products.
- Monitor and manage import and export processes, ensuring compliance with relevant trade regulations and industry standards.
Demand Planning & Inventory Management:
- Lead demand forecasting and collaborate with U.S. MD and Global SCM Team (Korea HQ) to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor and manage slow-moving inventory, implementing strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
- Coordinate the import of products from Korea and ensure smooth logistics operations, optimizing product flow across the supply chain network.
Process Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Drive process innovations and improvements within the supply chain network, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to enhance performance.
- Lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to suggest innovative solutions and driving adoption of best practices.
Cost & Performance Management:
- Manage logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with 3PL partners to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Continuously monitor the performance of logistics operations, making improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall service quality.
Team Collaboration & Reporting:
- Collaborate closely with warehousing, procurement, finance, merchandising, and other cross-functional teams to maintain accurate inventory records and prepare periodic reports on supply chain activities.
- Ensure effective communication with both U.S. and Korean teams to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of supply chain activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Supply Chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in supply chain management, logistics, and demand planning.
- Proven experience managing logistics operations, import coordination, and working with retail clients.
- Strong background in working with 3PL partners and coordinating global supply chains, particularly with experience in U.S. market operations.
- In-depth understanding of logistics operations, import/export procedures, and supply chain best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics management tools, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in e-Commerce and/or Retail industry is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; experience with other planning tools or systems is a plus.
