Job Description
This position is accountable for building, optimizing and scaling all manufacturing and product operations for the company, including forecasting, supply chain, production processes, QA/QC, and logistics. Areas of oversight include but are not limited to: management of brewery partners and production, sourcing of brewery partners, supply chain management, forecasting and optimization, managing inventory & order fulfillment, working with labs, developing QA processes, and executing on QA processes.
This position will work closely with our Finance team, and will have one direct reports (Logistics Manager). Successful candidates will have experience in both analytical and managerial roles, with a proven track record of meeting goals, and leading the development of scalable operational systems. The ideal candidate has operations experience with CPG, Beer or Spirits company, as well as start-up experience.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Build roadmap to improve COGS, and act on plan
- Oversee, manage, and create QA/QC processes
- Management of all co-manufacturing facilities
- Manage planning & forecasting in order ensure product availability
- Manage key metrics and KPI's relevant to operational excellence
- Manage all aspects of procurement and production
- Review & manage any additional packaging areas when needed
- Provide oversight and analysis to key margin drivers for the business including manufacturing, cost of goods, and raw material sourcing
- Collaborate with company finance team to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting and analysis
- Management & optimization of supply chain and forecasting of needs
- Oversee monthly reporting of inventory transactions for financial reporting
- Oversee all deliveries and shipments are sent on-time and accurately
- Contribute to cash-flow management objectives
- Oversee the management of all regulatory compliance
- Lead all special projects that include creating new SKUs, and new certifications (eg, non-GMO)
- Collaborate with Sales team to ensure accurate forecasting and product needs
Requirements:
- 6+ years leading operations in regulated or QA/QC heavy industry
- Start-up experience required
- Team building/hiring experience required
- F&B or CPG (beer/liquor/wine preferred) experience in operations, transportation, warehouse sourcing, co-manufacturer management, distribution systems development, inventory management, yield improvement & compliance
- Proven ability to manage numerous projects, as well as resources
- Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel
