MARKETING COORDINATOR – philosophy

We’re looking for a motivated Marketing Coordinator with a hands-on mentality to join the philosophy team. This role will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and is integral part of the development and execution of short and long-term brand priorities. This person is a key supporting role in the Marketing structure and will support all aspects of the delivery of brand programs to market by working with cross-functional teams and managing the day-to-day business needs. THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for: - Assisting in the development and execution of gifting campaigns, i.e. holiday or mothers day, and ongoing sets for different categories of the brand.
- Assisting in (gift-) set design evaluation and development as well as campaign shoot preparation, i.e. asset list management and comp creation process.
- Assisting with launch of newness in the fragrance and bath category including 360 ATL and BTL campaigns.
- Maximizing execution of promotional support for the portfolio:
- Create and update offering books for local markets.
- Develop presentations with performance analysis to maximize future executions.
- Create and deliver retailer presentations to obtain their buy-in as needed in partnership with the cross functional team.
- Forecast management: Track communication through forecasting and prepare forecast updates / synthesis / analysis.
- Partnering with cross-functional departments to ensure successful delivery of local market needs and effectiveness of marketing programs.
- Managing communication and alignment of promotional / non-promotional programs.
- Work in close partnership with Global Marketing teams (based in New York City) to support global in the development of long-term strategic direction including innovation pipeline.
- Input to cross-functional initiative meetings.
- Assisting in the management of media planning process & asset development for the portfolio.
- Support in NPD: pre-launch assessment, execution, launch tracking to understand performance
- Portfolio / brands performance analysis and specific programs deep-dive.
- Other on-going analysis: consumer trends, consumer insights, category dynamics and competitive knowledge.
SKU Management
- Manage code creation process
- Manage & support all forecasting (saleable and non-saleable items): enter forecast in system for initiatives based on benchmark, trends and retailer feedback. Update forecast as needed.
- Work with Demand Planning and Sales Operations teams to ensure accuracy in forecasts and calendarization of saleable and promotional items in order to achieve quarterly financial targets.
- Keep SKU assortment lists by retailer or channel updated and communicate with cross-functional teams accordingly.
- Provide SKU logistics information to cross-functional teams as requested.
- Monitor inventory levels.
Merchandising (Online, Brick and Mortar)
- Assist in ensuring brand cohesiveness across all brick & mortar doors despite customization by channel as well as online.
- Ensure brand guidelines are respected in all instore merchandising executions (permanent and temporary) as well as online.
- Work with Visual Merchandising team to brief and review all planograms for manager approval.
Brand Execution
- Ensure a cohesive execution of the brand.
- Monitor online stores and B&M stores on a regular basis.
- Manage and update creative assets and associated forms (dtos, pack shots, product descriptions, mock-ups, instore and online assets, visual merchandising guidelines, education guidelines, copy & pim sheets).
Commercial Strategy
- Support trade activation with sales (sell-in, sell-thru teams) and channel strategy teams.
- Create and update retailer presentations as required. Work closely with channel and global team to provide lab samples and comps for retailer meetings.
- Present novelties and brand strategy to retailers and business partners.
- Collaborate on Ecommerce strategy (Retailer.com, Pure Players)
Qualifications
We’d love to see candidates who have:
Essential:
- 1+ years of related relevant work experience in marketing or product management
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Knowledge in some areas of marketing (programs development, media planning including digital, market analysis, market research, marketing plans development…) and project management skills
- Good project management skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Focus on results and tenacity to get things done on time and on budget despite internal and external obstacles
- Team player & hands-on mentality
- Positive, proactive mindset
- Receptive to guidance and feedback
- Good knowledge of digital media and influencer programs
- NPD, MS Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint)
Desirable:
- Experience in beauty categories is a plus, experience in gifting campaigns, fragrance and bath & body would be ideal.
