A leading private equity firm specializing in the energy transition sector is seeking a highly motivated and analytically rigorous Vice President to join its investment team in New York. The firm adopts a true value add approach partnering with management teams to build and scale businesses that support the decarbonization of global energy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead due diligence, financial modeling, and transaction execution for new investments
- Manage deal teams and coordinate internal and external resources across all phases of a transaction
- Drive investment thesis development, market analysis, and valuation assessment
- Support portfolio companies post-investment, including strategy, capital structure, and operational value creation
- Work directly with senior partners and portfolio company executives
- Contribute to fundraising and investor relations efforts as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of total experience, including time at a top-tier investment bank and/or private equity firm
- Strong M&A execution skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex transactions
- Proven analytical and modeling expertise with a high attention to detail
- Experience in the energy, infrastructure, or sustainability sectors is a plus, but not required
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
