Manager, Organic Social & Community Management (Social Media Manager)

philosophy is seeking a Social & Community Manager to be the voice of the brand in all social media and community engagement. This role is critical to our brand awareness, lead generation, and customer success. This role will also work closely with our support team to ensure all issues flagged by customers on social media are triaged appropriately, monthly content calendar creation, and managing/posting on all social platforms.
The Social & Community Manager will be working closely with philosophy’s marketing, e-commerce, education, and other members of the marketing activations team to ensure brand storytelling on all social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Meta)
The Social & Community Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager, Marketing Activations.
The Social & Community Manager is a well-rounded marketing professional with experience in the beauty industry, a background in selective distribution preferably and license experience to lead and evolve the brands’ presence globally, aligned to the broader strategies and objectives of the business.
THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Define and implement our social media strategy in partnership with the Sr. Manager, Marketing Activations including tone of voice, types of content, what our targeted community looks like, who we want to engage with, use of SEO keywords, and cadence for publishing
- Monitor all social platforms including Instagram, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest
- Create monthly social media calendars, reflecting DTC + retailer promotions
- Support new launches, as well as sustained campaigns
- Create and schedule content across relevant social media channels
- Develop and maintain KPIs across each platform to measure success over time
- Create weekly and monthly reports to share with cross-functional teams
- Analyze community and keep close pulse on consumer sentiment on social platforms, working closely with Community Manager
- Assist in strategic planning with skincare, fragrance, and gifting teams to support promotional messaging on social platforms
- Develop content in-house to tap support in asset creation and leverage buzzworthy viral trends that are applicable to the brand
Qualifications
We’d love to see candidates who have:
Essential:
- 3+ years’ experience as a social media manager. Beauty and/or DTC brand experience a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of digital landscape including assets and metrics to measure success
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and across markets
- Social media savvy/keeping up-to-date on social media trends
Desirable:
- Not afraid to put themselves in content

Base Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000 + bonus
