Vice President of Operations, Texas

Job Summary:
Austin Vodka Company, producer of award-winning Goodnight Loving Vodka, seeks a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Operations to oversee and optimize all aspects of production, supply chain, and distribution for our premium vodka brand. This role ensures efficiency in manufacturing, maintains quality control, and supports the company’s growth by streamlining logistics and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Production & Manufacturing:
· Oversee daily distillation, bottling, and packaging operations.
· Ensure production efficiency while maintaining the highest quality standards.
· Work closely with distillers, quality control, and compliance teams.
Supply Chain & Logistics:
· Manage procurement, sourcing raw materials, and vendor relationships.
· Optimize distribution channels to meet demand while minimizing costs.
· Coordinate warehousing, inventory control, and fulfillment.
Compliance & Quality Control:
· Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and industry alcohol regulations
(e.g., TTB, FDA, TABC, OSHA).
· Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols.
· Monitor production safety and environmental compliance.
· Financial & Strategic Planning
· Develop and manage budgets to optimize operational costs.
· Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
· Collaborate with leadership on long-term operational strategy.
· Team Leadership & Development:
· Lead and mentor operations teams, including production, logistics, and warehouse staff.
· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
· Proficiency in distillery management systems (Whisky Systems/Dx5), inventory management, and process optimization.
· 7+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the spirits, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
· Strong knowledge of distillation processes, alcohol production, and regulatory compliance.
· Experience in supply chain, logistics, and vendor negotiations.
· Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred:
· MBA or relevant business/operations degree.
· Previous experience in a premium or craft spirits company.
Compensation and Benefits: Base Compensation--$88,000 with significant stock compensation program in this rapidly growing company.
PTO: 15 Days per year; Health Benefits and 401(k).
