With this, they have partnered with Pacific International in their search for a Senior Director of Operations to oversee multi-site operations and take ownership of key strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of operations strategies.
- Assure key operating metrics are achieved by focusing on safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement through deployment of standard work and productivity; inspire results by finding ways to work better.
- Develop and implement a capacity plan and manufacturing footprint strategy.
- Provide direct leadership and support to plant leaders.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with matrixes organizations including Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, R&D, Sales/Marketing, Finance and HR and other departments in order to coordinate all phases of operations and provide optimum services.
- Define and evaluate capital investment priorities at manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate & drive Design for Manufacturing with Product Design, R&D, Marketing and Innovation teams.
- Initiate and drive productivity projects to support ongoing margin improvement.
- Create a pipeline of future leaders by cultivating an environment where there is challenging work, opportunities for exposure, and regular coaching and feedback
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive operational experience in a global manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of how to balance the focus on continuous improvement with safety, health, and environmental business requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading Six Sigma, Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Ability to balance the strategic and hands-on requirements in manufacturing environments.
- Prior experience with consolidations, mergers, and acquisitions preferred.
- Proven ability to drive value creation throughout a business.
- Demonstrated success in leading improvement projects in a multi-plant manufacturing environment.
- Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
