Our client, a beautiful Indie Beauty Brand in NYC is seeking a driven, detail-oriented sales professional to join our North America Sales team as an Account Executive or Assistant Manager.
You’ll be responsible for managing key retail partnerships, implementing innovative sales and retail marketing strategies, and expanding our footprint across all North American distribution channels, including both Prestige and Mass.
You will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Operations to drive commercial success, enhance sell-through performance, and lead new business development initiatives with top-tier retailers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Account Management & Sales Execution
- Support and manage key customer relationships across North America, including partnerships with major beauty retailers.
- Take a 360° approach to Sell-In and Sell-Through success—partnering with internal departments such as Training & Education to align strategy and drive results.
- Manage retailer systems and portals for new item setup, sampling, co-op initiatives, and more.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with buyers, planners, and retail partners.
- Lead annual sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting across NA accounts.
- Develop and manage promotional and activation plans to ensure strong performance during peak selling seasons.
- Align closely with demand planning to provide accurate SKU-level forecasting and support inventory health.
2. Reporting & Analysis
- Create and refine sales reports to monitor sell-in and sell-through performance.
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership and internal stakeholders to optimize sales strategies.
3. New Business Development
- Identify and evaluate opportunities with new retailers and distribution channels.
- Support commercial strategy formulation in collaboration with the Director of Sales and CEO.
- Drive outreach and engagement with prospective partners in both Prestige and Mass segments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5+ years of experience in commercial sales or account management within the beauty industry, with a focus on North American specialty and department store channels.
- Strong understanding of the Prestige and Mass retail landscape; existing retailer relationships are a strong plus.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% as needed across North America.
