Assistant Project Manager
Location: Washington, DC - Baltimore Metro Area (Approx. 70% virtual)
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Role Summary
As an Assistant Project Manager at KGO, you’ll support Senior Project Managers in the day-to-day execution of client projects. From tracking schedules and budgets to collaborating with contractors and vendors, your role is key to ensuring smooth communication and consistent progress across all phases of a project.
Core Responsibilities
- Take meeting notes and maintain action agendas for project follow-up
- Assist with schedule and budget updates through daily communication with the Senior PM
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and property teams
- Participate in site visits and field inspections with the Project Manager
- Review and track submittals and RFIs
- Support client communication as needed
- Oversee vendors (e.g., furniture, security, voice/data cabling)
- Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and building standards

Project & Construction Knowledge
- Understands architectural and engineering drawings
- Familiar with construction management and project lifecycle terms (GC, RFI, MEP, LEED, etc.)
- Can create basic project budgets and schedules
- Comfortable working with brokers, landlords, and vendors
Technical & Strategic Thinking
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Microsoft Project experience is a plus
- Understands RFP processes and can support bid evaluations
- Follows internal processes while identifying client-specific solutions
