Our client outside of the Louisville, KY area is looking to add a Senior Operations Manager to their team. Responsible for the overall operations of the department or departments assigned in an industrial metals manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational plans to meet production goals
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility
- Lead a team of employees in all aspects of production
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Develop strategies to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Key Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Engineering
- Lean/6S Blackbelt Training (5S, Std Work, SMED, TPM, VSM, DMAIC Projects, etc.).
- 10+ years' experience in heavy industrial manufacturing
- Some union experience required.
- Strong work ethic/Analytical mindset.
- Experienced with utilizing Tier Boards (hour-by-hour, SQDCIP, etc.) at machine centers to drive KPI metrics and PDCA continuous improvement.
