Position Overview
We are seeking mid- to senior-level Project Managers who excel at leading medium-sized teams and driving successful delivery of government technology and analytics projects.
This role demands a blend of exceptional stakeholder management, detail-oriented execution, and the ability to thrive in high-touch client environments with demanding timelines.
The Project Manager Will Be Responsible For
- Leading cross-functional technical teams to deliver data analytics and technology solutions.
- Managing all aspects of project execution—scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality.
- Serving as the primary client liaison, building trusted relationships, and ensuring superior client satisfaction.
- Overseeing contractual, financial, and resource management to support both the client and the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data, analytics, and technical project delivery, with experience spanning design, build, test, and deployment phases. You’ll regularly collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and software developers, while also interfacing with government stakeholders, end-users, and leadership teams to ensure seamless delivery of analytics and data science solutions.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project management, with a strong record of leading medium-sized teams and delivering successful government projects.
- PMP certification required; CSM certification highly preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proven track record managing analytics or data science projects or demonstrated comfort leading technical/analytics teams.
- Deep expertise with industry-standard project management frameworks (PMP, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
- SUPERB stakeholder communication and management skills, including the ability to translate technical information into clear, actionable updates for executive and non-technical audiences.
- Outstanding presentation abilities and experience briefing high-level stakeholders.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated success managing high-touch, fast-paced client relationships with demanding timelines.
- Experience with federal government contracting and client engagement.
- Prior consulting firm experience is a plus.
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
- Master’s degree in data science, analytics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or business administration.
- Hands-on involvement in projects deploying analytics solutions, including database querying, data pipeline development, and applying data science techniques (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, text mining, graph analytics).
- Agile certification.
- Proven ability to grow and expand portfolios within the federal government space.
