XPO Logistics

XPO Logistics is one of the largest less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers in North America, with more than three decades in the business. Its coast-to-coast freight network reaches 99% of US zip codes through 300 service centres and extends to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Last year the company moved 18 billion pounds of freight for 37,000 customers.

Alongside the physical network, XPO develops technology in-house, including data science and machine-learning systems that optimise the network in real time, and digital tools that let customers track shipments, obtain quotes and request pickups. The company was named to Fortune's list of America's Most Innovative Companies in 2025, the only pure-play LTL carrier on the list.

Investment in capacity runs through the operation. XPO trains new drivers at 130 in-house driver school locations and manufactures its own trailers. The workforce spans drivers, dockworkers, mechanics and technology professionals, with stated emphasis on safe operations, continuous improvement through better technology, and the diverse communities the company serves.
