Xplor

Xplor builds an all-in-one management software platform for early childhood education services, covering administration, educator workflows, family communication, waitlists and payments. Founded in 2015 by Mark Woodland, the company was created from the observation that childcare providers spend too much time on administrative tasks. Its stated aim is to simplify fragmented and outdated administrative processes so services can focus on children rather than paperwork.

The platform is organised into several products. Office handles operations for childcare administrators, while Playground supports educators in their day-to-day work. Home connects families with the service, from enrolment through to payment processing, and MyWaitlist covers pre-enrolment and waitlist management. Xplor Pay provides integrated payments processing.

Based in Australia and New Zealand, Xplor serves more than 9,000 early childhood education services and describes itself as the largest childcare management software provider in the Australia and New Zealand region. The company has grown in part through acquisitions, including QikKids and Discover. Technical work spans SaaS platform development, payments processing, childcare management software, family communication tools, and enrolment and waitlist management.
