It builds healthcare technology used by practitioners across the country, reaching more than 40% of practitioners nationwide in Canada. Its work spans artificial intelligence and machine learning in healthcare, electronic medical records, natural language processing for clinical documentation, healthcare interoperability, medical billing software and practice management systems.
The product suite includes Nexus AI, an AI-native EMR platform that automates charting and patient documentation in real time, alongside medical billing and practice management solutions for clinics. Its digital health networks provide province-wide interoperability, eReferral and patient attachment services intended to connect care across systems. Engineering work is carried out in support of outpatient clinics, primary care and family medicine, specialist practices and health systems throughout Canada.
Products are developed and tested in real Canadian clinics, with an emphasis on streamlining care delivery, integrating healthcare systems and improving patient outcomes. WELLSTAR operates within the WELL Health Technologies ecosystem.
