Veracode
Application security company, founded in 2006, whose platform scans software for vulnerabilities, fixes flaws with AI-driven remediation and verifies compliance.
Veracode is an application security company founded in 2006. It helps organisations identify software security risks early in the development process, automate fixes using AI-powered remediation, and demonstrate compliance with security standards. Its work spans static code analysis, software vulnerability analysis, security research and compliance automation.
Veracode's application security platform scans code to surface risks and draws on a proprietary database of code vulnerabilities, said to be the world's most extensive, built from nearly two decades of research. The company reports that it has scanned more than 1.3 million applications, processed 360 trillion lines of code and helped fix over 121 million software flaws. Its AI-powered remediation product automatically addresses identified flaws rather than merely reporting them.
The company's origins are rooted in security research. Its founders came from the L0pht hacker collective and testified before Congress in 1998 about vulnerabilities in widely used software. Veracode was established on the premise that software is built without security in mind, and that research heritage continues to underpin its product development.
