Established in 1983, it delivers mechanical solutions on projects nationwide through five wholly owned subsidiaries and employs between 501 and 1,000 people. Its technical work spans mechanical contracting, systems design and consulting, piping, plumbing, sheet metal fabrication, offsite and multi-trade prefabrication, preconstruction and real estate.

The group's subsidiaries divide that work by function. The company states a commitment to safety, quality and innovation on every project, and places weight on multi-trade mechanical capability.

The firm's roots trace to a Nottberg family business established in Cologne, Germany, in 1855; the current company was formed as U.S. Engineering in 1983.
