The Nest Schools

The Nest Schools operates premium early childhood education programmes in the United States, running daycare, childcare, preschool and summer camp programmes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children. The company has multiple locations across multiple states and was founded by Gerry Pastor and Jane Porterfield.

Its educational offer is built on a proprietary, play-based, research-informed curriculum, with dedicated instructional experiences in health and wellness, arts and music, and life skills. The stated aim is to develop resilience, creativity, wellness and curiosity in the children it serves.

For staff, the company runs Nest University, an internal training arm offering certificate programmes, mentoring, career ladders and wider professional-development opportunities for educators. Teachers and support teams are positioned as role models for children and families, and the workplace culture is described as being based on appreciation, collaboration and employee growth, within a mission centred on kindness, wellness, innovation and fun.
