Tatu City

Tatu City is a 5,000-acre new city development 20 km north of Nairobi's CBD and Kenya's first operational Special Economic Zone. The scheme brings together homes, businesses, shops, schools and green spaces within a single master-planned site, offering world-class infrastructure and preferential business benefits to residents, companies and investors. More than 7,000 people live there, and current development is valued at over USD 1.2 billion.

Work at Tatu City spans several technical domains: urban planning and development, special economic zone infrastructure, industrial park development, and residential and commercial real estate. The site includes Tatu Industrial Park, which houses world-class industrial facilities and attracts local and international manufacturers, alongside commercial and retail space and residential housing.

The development is built and run by Rendeavour, described as Africa's largest new city builder, and is backed by American, Norwegian, New Zealand and British investors. It is a flagship Vision 2030 private sector development and a project of strategic national importance under Kenya's Physical and Land Use Planning Regulations. Two award-winning institutions, Crawford International School and Nova Pioneer Schools, operate within the city, contributing to the education and community services on site.
