Starboard Cruise Services

Starboard Cruise Services operates duty-free and destination-inspired retail shops aboard cruise ships and at resorts. Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Doral, Florida, the company runs more than 700 shops across over 90 vessels for 15 cruise line partners, alongside its first land-based duty-free shopping experience at Miami International Airport. Retail programmes are built around each partner's brand and guest demographic, delivered by dedicated account teams.

In 2024 the business reorganised into three specialised units: Starboard Cruise, covering vacation retail at sea; Starboard Luxury, covering luxury retail curation; and Starboard Resort, covering retail on land at vacation destinations. The company is owned by Global Travel Retail Holdings, a joint venture formed in 2023 by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and four further investors; it had been acquired by LVMH in 2000.

Technical work spans data-driven retail analytics and account management, digital customer-experience platforms, duty-free and travel-retail merchandising, destination-inspired product curation and sustainable sourcing. The workforce represents more than 60 nationalities. The company has been named DFNI-Frontier Americas Travel Retailer of the Year, Asia/Pacific Cruise Retailer of the Year and Global Cruise Retailer of the Year.
