RQI Partners

RQI Partners, a joint venture of the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical, delivers data-driven CPR and resuscitation training to hospitals, health systems and educators.

RQI Partners is a joint venture between the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical, established in 2018. The company develops modernized, data-driven and evidence-based CPR and resuscitation training programmes aimed at increasing survival from sudden cardiac arrest. It employs more than 300 people across multiple locations in the United States, including Dallas, TX, and reaches users globally.

Its flagship product, RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement), applies a low-dose, high-frequency training model with quarterly skills refreshers and mastery learning through deliberate practice. Quality improvement sessions measure and verify competence. The programme is used by more than 2,400 hospitals and 2 million nurses worldwide. RQI Partners also offers digital resuscitation education and training programmes co-developed by the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical, built on the latest AHA guidelines.

Technical work spans digital resuscitation education, training analytics, simulation-based medical education, competence verification and low-dose high-frequency training models. The company serves acute care hospitals, health systems, emergency medical services and nursing education institutions, including colleges and universities. Its stated focus is shifting resuscitation practice from course completion to demonstrated CPR competence and confidence, and establishing a new standard of care in resuscitation.
