Resource Innovations

Resource Innovations is a women-led energy transformation firm that works with utilities on the clean energy transition. Founded in 2016, it began as a specialised energy efficiency consultancy and has since grown into a broader platform spanning utility programme management, climate action, and equity and community engagement. The firm reports more than 500 professionals and a client base of over 120 across North America, Europe, and the Pacific.

The company's work is organised around four stated pillars: climate action, innovation, equity, and scale. Client engagement teams work directly with utilities to deliver measurable results, with an explicit focus on making clean energy available, accessible and affordable, particularly for vulnerable populations. Since 2019 Resource Innovations has managed more than 880 programmes and reports avoiding over 823,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions in 2024.

Expansion has come through both organic growth and the integration of strategic acquisitions, including Nexant, TechniArt, Cadeo, Shifted Energy, and Richard Heath & Associates. In-house engineering capabilities include software development in Django and Python, used to build the proprietary platform Commerce Manager. The firm ranked at number 12 on Inc's 2023 list of fastest-growing private energy companies.
