Qontext

Qontext builds an independent context layer for enterprise AI. The company's premise is that firms should not have to reconstruct their own knowledge for every chat interface, agent or workflow. Instead, it assembles customer, product, process and decision knowledge into a reusable, AI-ready "context base" that generative systems can consult directly. The firm operates from Berlin, Germany.

Its single product, the Qontext Context Base, is a workspace-based platform in which users connect data sources and expose the resulting context to AI through an API, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or a command-line interface. The platform maintains a relational model of the underlying data and updates it continuously as sources change. Access is governed by roles and permissions, and human-in-the-loop validation tools allow people to check what the system feeds to models.

The engineering work spans AI context management, knowledge graph and relational data modelling, data integration and connectors, API development, MCP support, CLI tooling, and access control. Security and compliance are central to the offering: the company is ISO 27001 certified and handles data in line with GDPR.
