Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group designs, manufactures, installs and services cryogenic technologies for hydrogen, ammonia, LNG, CO2 and industrial gases, covering the entire cryogenic value chain. Its work spans cryogenic pumps, turnkey cryogenic process systems, heat exchanger systems, fueling solutions for hydrogen and LNG, energy infrastructure and strategic projects, and installation and service support. The company traces its pump and systems business to the 1950s and has operated for more than 70 years.

The group employs over 1,800 people across more than 20 countries, organised into six specialised business units, with headquarters in Southern California. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cryogenic Industries, Inc. and part of Nikkiso Co., Ltd. (TSE: 6376). Technical domains of particular interest to engineers include hydrogen, ammonia, LNG, CO2 and industrial gas technologies, alongside cryogenic pumps, process systems and heat exchangers.

Engineering and technical work is vertically integrated, spanning design, manufacturing, installation and service, and is delivered as bespoke turnkey solutions tailored to individual customer requirements. The group states that it is independent of molecule sales and adjusts to customer needs rather than market pressures. Its project orientation is directed towards lower-carbon energy transition work.
