Morton Buildings is a 100% employee-owned construction company and the industry leader in post-frame construction. Founded in 1903 as the Interlocking Fence Company by John Getz, Sr. in Morton, Illinois, and evolving from a single hardware store, the firm was family-owned for 113 years before transitioning to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 2017. Every employee now holds a stake in the business.

The company designs and builds custom post-frame buildings as a single-source resource, managing the entire construction process from design through completion. Its work spans residential homes, cabins, farm and agricultural structures, equestrian facilities, commercial buildings, community spaces and warehouses. Technical capabilities include post-frame and clear-span construction, energy-efficient building design, custom design, and the manufacture of building components; seven manufacturing facilities produce many of the parts used in its buildings.

Morton Buildings operates more than 100 employee-owned construction centers across 36 states, serving customers nationwide. Its stated approach emphasises premium materials, energy efficiency and buildings built stronger to last longer, alongside a distinctive visual identity of painted red gable and door trim.
