Morris South

Morris South is the exclusive distributor of Okuma CNC machine tools in the southeastern United States, a role it has held since 1980. The company supplies CNC machine tools, tooling, accessories and manufacturing software to producers of precision machined parts, together with automation solutions and engineering support. It is a division of Morris Group, Inc., a family-owned business founded in 1941 and now in its third generation of ownership.

The service territory covers nine states and regions: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and the Florida panhandle. Customers span the automotive, medical, aerospace, defense, agricultural, transportation and energy industries, as well as general precision machining.

Technical work at the company is concentrated in several areas: CNC machine tools and machine tool automation, machine tending automation, applications engineering, preventative maintenance, machining process optimisation and manufacturing software. Among its automation offerings is the MTC Machine Tending Cart, a pre-engineered machine tending system designed to let manufacturers automate tending without robotics expertise.
