ManoMotion

ManoMotion develops software-only, camera-based AI hand and body tracking for touchless interaction, including the SaferHands industrial safety system and developer SDKs.

ManoMotion is a software company that develops vision-based AI hand and body tracking technology. Its software turns any standard camera into a sensing device capable of real-time human intent understanding and touchless human-machine interaction, without requiring dedicated hardware. The company was founded in 2015 and is rooted in more than six years of research conducted by its founders at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

The company's products span two distinct markets. SaferHands is an AI-certified industrial safety system designed to predict and prevent workplace accidents before they occur. ManoMotion SDKs provide developers with tools for building hand-tracking experiences across smartphones, AR/VR headsets and other devices, and are aimed at extended reality, robotics, smart devices and consumer electronics.

ManoMotion's approach is built on a software-only architecture rather than expensive or bulky hardware, which it positions as a matter of accessibility and affordability. It maintains partnerships with NVIDIA, Google, HP and Intel, and concentrates on building out a developer ecosystem around its SDKs. Its stated aim is to make intuitive, touchless human-machine interaction accessible to a broad audience.
