Makpar is a family-owned professional and technical solutions provider founded in 2008 by Mushtaq and Seema Khan. It works almost exclusively for the U.S. Federal government, delivering services in cloud engineering, data management, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, identity and access management, and user verification systems.
The firm's engineering work operates at considerable scale. Among its projects is a citizen-facing identity access management system described as one of the largest in the Federal government, built to accelerate access to citizen services. Its associated external user verification system is the largest of its kind, serving more than 30m users, with a scaling target of 120m.
