Legion Health

Legion Health is an AI-native telepsychiatry clinic that employs its own clinicians, holds its own insurance contracts, and uses LLMs to automate scheduling, billing and clinical workflows.

Legion Health is a full-stack, AI-native telepsychiatry clinic founded in 2021 by three Princeton roommates. The company employs its own clinicians, holds its own insurance contracts, and uses large language models to automate scheduling, billing, clinical decision support and personalised follow-up. It delivers psychiatric medication management for conditions including ADHD, anxiety and depression, with visits often priced at under $30. The firm reports more than $3m in annual recurring revenue and is a Y Combinator-backed business.

The company began as a B2B psychiatric staffing solution before pivoting to a full-stack clinic after the arrival of ChatGPT. Its approach is explicitly automation-first: start with world-class clinicians, instrument every step of care, and automate workflows incrementally. The stated aim is care that is better, cheaper and more scalable, delivered as what the founders describe as the practical path to the AI doctor - real clinical care, with automation running in the background.

Legion Health currently operates in Texas, with national expansion across the United States planned. The three founders, who were roommates at Princeton, started the company after witnessing gaps in mental-health access within their own families; their backgrounds include the Congressional Budget Office, Microsoft and McKinsey. The company's stated goal is to make psychiatric care available to everyone with insurance.
