LabAnswer was a laboratory informatics consultancy that provided independent advice on the design, build, deployment and ongoing support of enterprise scientific data solutions across the full laboratory systems lifecycle. Its work covered Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN), Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) and Scientific Content Management Systems, alongside laboratory automation and regulatory compliance. The firm combined expertise in science, laboratory operations, compliance and information technology, and worked with best-in-breed laboratory informatics software products.

Over its existence, LabAnswer architected, implemented, deployed and supported hundreds of major scientific informatics systems and served more than a thousand laboratories. It operated in North America and served clients in biotech, pharmaceuticals, bio-pharmaceuticals, medical devices, forensics, life sciences research, consumer goods, chemicals, energy and government, working across research, development, and manufacturing and quality-control operations.

LabAnswer positioned itself as an independent consultancy offering independent insights. The company was acquired by Accenture in July 2017.
