It manufactures and sells packaged foods for home, restaurant and on-the-go occasions. Annual net sales run to about $26 billion, and the company operates in more than 40 countries, making it the third-largest food and beverage firm in North America and the fifth-largest in the world. Though the merger dates to 2015, the combined heritage of the business stretches back more than 150 years, to 1869 and 1903 respectively.

Work at Kraft Heinz spans several technical and operational domains: food manufacturing, supply chain and distribution, sustainability, and digital transformation. The company has stated a mission of sustainably growing by delighting more consumers globally, with an emphasis on quality, taste and nutrition across eating occasions. Social impact is also a stated priority; since 2016 it has donated nearly 750 million meals through partnerships with Rise Against Hunger, Heifer International and Feeding America.
